My Little Bed Bugs

After a long week today we just relaxed and hung around the house today. The boys love to come and hang out in my room. The 3 of them usually hang out. Colby & Nick play with baby Adam, watch TV and talk to me. I can honestly say that we have had a great summer so far. Life with the 3 boys is pretty busy and a lot of work. I guess I wouldn't have it any other way.

Great America June 25, 2008

And I wonder why the days always fly by? Well, could it be because we are always on the go? YEP. Well, I wouldn't have it another way. After swimming lessons on Wednesday we headed to Great America to meet my cousin Mike and his son Cody. What a fun day for the boys to hang out with Cody. Cody had his first Roller Coaster Ride, Colby tried a few new rides with Mom and Nickolas was stuck to Mike like glue. Adam was so happy and smiley. He really is a great baby and I am thankful that he is so mellow. He enjoys hangin' in the snugli and he doesn't like to miss a thing! It was a long day and when it was over boy did they crash!!!

Swimming Anyone??

Colby and Nickolas are taking swimming lessons at the Y. Colby is doing fantastic! Ed gave him a challenge.....swim across the pool by the end of the swimming lessons. We'll see. He is doing really well. Nickolas not the biggest fan...but he is trying :0 Adam and I are watching. Colby was funny one morning he brought his goggles in to show Adam and the next thing I know Colby wants me to come and see something......I have to admit I was thinking the worst. I haven't laughed this hard in awhile. The best part was that it was Colby's idea and he executed it perfectly. He put the goggles on Adam (very carefully I am told)! This was so classic I called Nick in too and I took a picture. We all laughed and then Adam started laughing too. ENJOY!!!

HP Camping June 20 - 22

We have started Summer off right! A Larson Family camping trip to HP's Little Basin. We have been going there for as long as Ed has worked at HP (a long time ). We started out with a 2 man Dome Tent, Upgraded to a bigger tent wen Colby & Nickolas arrived. We have upgraded yet again to the condo as I like to call it. This tent is great. We can stand up in it (a huge bonus). It fits all 5 of us and our junk. Adam slept in his pack and play, The boys had an air mattress and Ed and I had the Aero Bed (Just Kidding) A good idea though :) We have our air mattress too. What a great trip. HP camping has always been the boys' first camping trip. Colby & Nickolas were just 2 months old the first time we went. Adam was 3 months and 3 weeks and what a difference. He slept all night. Even slept till 7:00 a.m. one of the mornings. Had fun talking to the trees. Boy he has a lot to say.... Went for a short hike at Big Basin. Colby & Nickolas had a blast experiencing Spaghettios for the first time, riding bikes and scooters, marshmallows need I say more? Nickolas is crazy with marshmallow sticks. Ed and I enjoyed playing baseball with the boys and going to the playground. A short walk through the Redwoods was great too. We always seem to just take in the trees and mountains. Hanging on Adam's every reaction to the trip because we know we will never experience that again. We got a visit from a blue jay it must be the same one that stole Colby's Bagel a few years back. Now that was a meltdown. Funny thing is that Colby still remembers. Adam discovered his toes on this trip and is now trying to stick them in his mouth. He also enjoyed his rice cereal under the trees. He thought that was neat. Nickolas had a great time playing Power Rangers in the bushes he really entertains himself. We also had a visit from our favorite raccoon. That little thief always finds something to take from us. This year it was Adam's formula! He won't be gassy or irritable for weeks! That would have been a great got milk commercial.....he was licking the powder for days and nothing to wash it down with. HA HA So the next day we drove to town and bought some more formula and of course some ice cream too.

Nickolas' Junior Bible Camp

Nickolas just finished a week of going to Jr. Bible Camp at Apostles. He had a great time and learned a lot. He is very comfortable going to church. He has also showed interest in other religions as well. We support him in his curiosity and comes up with the cutest things. For example: Jesus is coming over to our house...should be here at 3 o'clock. He just wants to say hi and meet him. I believe he got the message of the day (that Jesus was going to come back one day). That's our Nickolas...wise beyond his years. While Nick was at camp Colby, Adam & I enjoyed some quality time hanging out, hitting Starbucks and a breakfast play date with Colby's
BFF Joey.

School's Out & Summer Is Here!

Well, we have almost survived our first full week of summer.....I may be jumping the gun a little but lets hope all goes well. The end of the school year was busy for both of the boys. Wow party after party. We even added a couple of birthday parties in there too. Colby has officially finished Kindergarten and has been promoted to the First Grade. He had a fantastic year. He is reading up a STORM and his teacher gave him a nice big packet of "summertime" homework. I told him that he should finish it before we go to Idaho in August. That is his goal because he wants to hang out and play with Aunt Jodi.

Nickolas had an equally busy end of the year where we attended his end of the year program and party at Clement school. He did a great job singing and telling us about his year. The class went up two by two and showed us thier favorate yoga pose. Nick's was "the bridge". I have to say I was surprised. It was then that Ed and I put two and two together. The weekend before when Adam had rolled over Nick popped off with a comment that it looked like Adam wsa doing Yoga. We all just laughed. Nickolas could be the next Yoga Master......he is pretty darm flexible and he knows the names of all the yoga poses. That kid never ceases to amaze us.

Adam's Baptism

Adam Joseph Larson was baptized on June 7, 2008 @ 3:00 p.m. We all had a great day. We were so blessed to have Pastor Kronebucsh at Apostles Lutheran Church baptize our beautiful baby boy. Colby & Nickolas were also baptized at Apostles Lutheran by Pastor Hein. He has since gotten a call to go back to WI. We miss him. Adam was asleep the whole time. A little angel or should I say heavy angel since Auntie Jodi held him the entire service. A lot of our family and our close friends were there for the service and joined us after for dinner at our house. Our last big party of the year......we think. The gown is a Larson family heirloom and the bonnet, booties & blanket were made by Grandma.

I am Rolling Over

Adam is rolling over!!!! He was 3 months and 1 day (June 3, 2008). It was so cute and he was so happy to do it. He is an amazing little guy. We are all so in love with him. Colby is enjoying his time in the morning with him still, Nick loves to play cars with him or should I say around him :). Adam could be the first laughing mountain. Daddy has been taking him on stroller rides for Daddy & Adam time. Me well, I am snuggling with him as much as I can possibly can! He is growing fast. Stay tuned I may try and add a video clip of him rolling over.
