Where Have We Been You Ask?
Funny you should ask....we have been at the baseball fields. This year was the year of Baseball for all of the boys! Well, the boys have been playing sports since they were born. Maybe even before! Now the craziness of our life has exploded! Baseball, Baseball, Baseball and some Soccer and Basketball for Adam :). So we started off the year with Baseball tryouts in January. February was spent finding gear and uniforms for our growing Bruid. March we start practice and Opening Day. April Games and Rain... an ugly combination. May & June was spent having a baseball game or practice every night. Mixed with a little rain and some chilly nights. Wondering how we were going to be in 2 places at once?? Dividing and Conquering was a MUST. Ending the Season with a Championship Win for Colby, A Double Play for Nickolas and what would life be without a little DRAMA? All Stars were next and we were there. Proud of those Larson Boys really making a name for themselves. What about Adam you ask??? Well, he was busy playing his own Baseball Games at the YMCA and he was part of the StingRays T-Hitters Team. He held his own and was an amazing 3 year old and played his heart out! Finally a Break? Nope. July 4th came and Colby and Ed were headed to LA for a baseball tournament. Chino Hills Big League Dreams was the destination and Colby played in mini major league fields. A priceless moment for him and Ed too. It was there that Colby was asked to be on the BV Bulldogs Baseball Team. Wow, what an honor and COMMITMENT too. Colby was going to be the Catcher and was doing great at batting too. He took the job seriously and was awesome behind the plate. His skills were improving everyday. It's like we have our own real life "Buster Posey". With so many new rules and signs to learn our First Born Fizz got the job done. August we took a little trip to Mexico and got ready to go back to school but baseball was still on every one's mind. In September, Nickolas was thrilled to be placed on the BV Giants Fall Ball Team and with 3 practices a week he was well on his way. Hitting a TRIPLE and Closing out the 1st game as the pitcher. He was striking the kids out left and right. That was our little Doodle Bug showing his stuff. He had a great season and played 2nd Base and Pitcher mostly. All the while, we were also traveling with Colby all around the area. Sunnyvale, Santa Cruz, Brentwood and More! 2 Tournaments per month was a lot of fun and a little crazy at times. Finally October with the Travel Ball Season and Fall Ball Season in full swing Adam added Soccer to the mix..O My! How could we deprive this budding young athlete? Adam took to that Soccer Ball like a Moth to a flame. He was in it to win it. Mind you he is 3 1/2 and playing Little Kickers at the YMCA. He was doing the drills and loved being part of the Frogs Soccer Team (his brother Nickolas' old team). Finally it comes time to scrimmage with other teams. Adam was aggressive and would get a little agitated that he or his team wasn't scoring despite all their efforts. Finally, the day had come. His whole family was there to watch his game and there it was! Adam ready to shoot and he scores. His actions next were that of a professional soccer player. Seriously, did we just see what we thought we saw?? A very proud 3 and a half year old makes the goal runs out away from the pack with his hands up in the air! The biggest smile and loudest yell comes from our baby JJ. From then on he continued to blossom and was thrilled when his foot was finally big enough to get a pair of his very own cleats. That was a great night he had waited patiently all day and was so god it was almost unbelievable. Catcher Gear anyone? The time has come to invest in some gear for Colby. He has had a Catcher Glove for quite some time but now the gear was a MUST. Hmmm.... Who else was interested in the gear. Little Brother Adam was never far. On more than one occasion he was caught in the garage putting on Colby's gear or sitting on the couch with Colby's Catcher Glove. Adam has found his first LOVE. November brought us to the end of the Fall Ball and Tournament Seasons with both boys having fantastic seasons. Where has the time gone? Is Thanksgiving really next week? Seriously, did we just sign up Adam for Little Hoopster Basketball at the YMCA? Yep, You Bet. He is ready to get out there and go for it! The other two they are taking a break... although, both have been spotted sneaking off to the batting cages or playing catch in the back yard. December will be here before we know it and then our year will start all over again... Stay tuned SPRING 2012 will be busier than ever! 3 Larson Boys in BASEBALL! Adam in Shetland, Nickolas in Pinto and Colby in Mustang. What a Wild Ride 2012 is going to be! Catch you on the Diamond Love, one very proud baseball mom!
