4th of July

We spend 4th of July at Ed's parents in Grass Valley, CA. It was a great weekend. Amazingly enough it was actually a very mild and almost cool 4th. We did the usual. Headed down to the park for all the festivities, Food, Fun and oh did I say more Food. This was Adam's first 4th of July and we pulled out all the stops. He had his first golf cart ride. A must while you are visiting Gramme & PaPa. Headed to the Blackberry patch....so much fun. All of the boys were a little purple. Adam even joined the fun. I guess by the 3rd kid all the rules and regulations go by the wayside. We played games, swung on the rope swing, shot the sling shots, and BBQ'd then settled down for an evening on the deck to watch the fireworks. We had a couple of very tired kids....wonder why. The fireworks were spectacular! Needless to say that we all had to take a nap the next day. The air was a bit smokey for all the CA fires and so we decided to stay inside. Colby & Gramme did a puzzle. Nickolas was playing cars all over the house. Ed and I escaped with Adam for a bit and came home with his own little Pirate Ship. Stay tuned for the Pirate Ship entry. PaPa and the boys were in the garden forever picking all of the good food to eat. PaPa has pet deer and lets just say they are well taken care of. PaPa always has something fun for the boys to do. Ever since I can remember even pre-kids PaPa Ed had something up his sleeves. The boys just love that. Gramme she has taught the boys so much...thanks to Gramme Colby can put together any puzzle with his eyes closed. She has taught Nickolas the love of imagination and can play trains and cars all day. Adam loves his Gramme cause she sings and dances to him all the time. Want to see a big smile? It is priceless.
